Kyyle Cort is an American singer, songwriter, musician, record producer and artist. He’s notably known as the lead vocalist, primary songwriter and lead guitarist for the band, SUPERFEKTA, a group spawned in the late 90’s who began cutting their teeth in the Seattle circuit just before the turn of the century.
The multi-instrumentalist is also a member of world-class tributes JAR OF FLIES (Alice in Chains), OUTSHINED (Chris Cornell), EPIC QUEEN (Queen), the TRAVIS BRACHT (Second Coming) solo band and a handful of other groups based in the Pacific Northwest. Kyyle is also a founding member of the KISW Seattle Radio house band, The New Originals (2006-present), and has served as a Music Director for 99.9 KISW’s “Live Day” since the inception of the annual live radio event in 2015.
Raised in Snohomish County of Washington State, Cort was gifted a Casio keyboard at age five from his Aunt, an acoustic guitar at age ten from his Uncle and began writing songs while attending middle school in Marysville, WA. After an introduction to Yanni by his grandfather, he took up school band throughout secondary education, spent a twinkling with The Everett Symphony and eventually traded his trombone to a friend’s dad in exchange for an electric guitar.
This shifted focus towards Rock music and sparked an early formation of SUPERFEKTA behind the drums in his parent’s two-car garage during the mid-to-late 1990’s. Kyyle soon moved from behind the kit to guitar after graduating high-school in 2000, and eventually took over as lead vocalist in February 2013 following SUPERFEKTA’s first two studio releases.
Booked with acts such as Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, Prophets of Rage, In This Moment, Three Days Grace, Fever 333, Buckcherry, Seether, Saliva, Hinder, Vince Neil, Ratt, Queensryche, Puddle of Mudd, John 5 and others, Kyyle has spent the meat of his time as a stage performer. However, with the 2020 pandemic sending the live music industry into hibernation, Cort used time in isolation to reconnect with many of his artistic passions pursuing writing, podcasting, audio production and other creative outlets that ultimately carve out his multifaceted career today.
